Post your Hull pictures Second Thread

where is this display?

LMU? other?

Pierce College Art Department Gallery, in the Valley (breeding ground of many a Hullohollic).

real nice.

Aaaaaaah…Pierce. Where I spent four of the happiest years of my life! Is the lake still there behind the livestock area. I think that it was a woodland environment.

Sean, could you get me a classic red and white Pierce window decal for my car?

Paul

As promised, shots from Pierce College:

From left, 9’6" Yater Spoon, 8’10 GL transitional, 7’4" Liddle Keyo copy.

7’6" hull, 6’6" Rick diamond tail, 7’ hull, 6’10" Klaus Jones.

Fin Descriptions:

  1. Hobie Removable, 2. Yater Y2 (Spoon), 3. Waveset rake (shaved to fit wonderbolt box), 4. Fins Unlimited rake, 5. Variable Waveset Greenough Stage IV, 6. GL Flex, 7. Standard 70’s fin, 8. GL Narrow Flex.

PJD: Yes I’ll get you a PC decal. The lake area was re-habbed, refered to as the Pond. Rumor was that they had to Paraquat the whole area to rid it of the leftover pot from the 70’s that grew as a result of all the seeds being dropped by stoners rolling joints (I jest).

Mahalo Sean,

Wonderful exhibit. Where, at Pierce, is this exhibit and what are the hours for viewing? I might head out there next week.

“The Pond” was a wonderful oasis that was constructed by Natural Resource Management majors, and , yes, it was a great place to unwind. I can vividly remember planning a week long Ranch trip, and talking with my friend, Art Malcolm, in '71, about his newly acquired Wilderness Knee Spoon while admiring the scenery of Purple Haze at The Pond.

Check out Liddle’s Photos site for the newest entry of Sam riding one of his over 9’0" quiver.

Thanks for getting the decal.

ha! i attended pierce in the mid 70s

Are you kidding me! I can get a Surftech/Boardworks/GSI/?Point for only a couple of Bengies more, shiny as an M&M, stiff as fwack, and made by someone who has never even seen a wave. It’s a no brainer!

Art Department Gallery, 2-7 T-Th.

PM sent.

what an incredible “mini longboard”…

poor bastard probably wondered why he could never learn how to surf on the thing.

guess i’m late.

i was going to link to the “kool mini longboard” but Steiny beat me to it…

insert hand slapping forehead here

That craigslist post must be a joke, right?

No the guy sent me some more pix. Looks like an 8’ hull to me. Probably a toned down for average rider, like the one my father has.

the fin…oh the humanity.

How’s about this little gem of a Morey Pope. It is not a Camel, but hully, to be sure.

Cool board. Nice mini-deck patch.

Do you see the pain and anguish that the affliction of surfboard collection causes to people?

Love the Kneepatch (who were they foolin’?). I also am drooling over that variable waveset.

Here’s another view of the MP.

Here is a 1969 Yater V bottom, that was reportedly shaped by Greenough and Nat Young in Yater’s factory. There is no ID letter to show that Mr. Yater shaped this one, and Sean, this is Wave Set fin from a '69 Petrillo rounded pin. Drool in seclusion.
