the fix

Nice work Mark......

If we're working with carbon will people still think we're Low tech?

Ha Ha Ha

I've done a really good job over the years ignoring all the CompSand and VacBag threads...Too much BS...I've been focused on glassing and repairs....The vac bag photos on this thread are real....The LowTechLab got out of control with leaks and other issues....

We set some goals....

Need to get good vacuum...

Need a quick connect...

Needs to be simple...

Needs to be cheap....

Needs to be easy to work with...

Stingray needs to fix the problems.....:)

This is what I came up with...

$12.88

Rubber tire patch kit, Random fittings (some from my tool box) , hose clamps, steel truck tire valve stem (resinhead idea) , Red 3M Scotch Brite pads........It takes about15 min to get good vacuum. The pump kicks on and off every 15 seconds....Not too bad....

...

hey ChrisP....

We need your help....Think Quad.....I'll post numbers later....

The router bit I use to do center boxes got trashed when I did that longboard with the Bamboo stringer...I go slow with lots of cuts but Mark's stringer is almost 1/2" wide.....fun fun fun....
