Hey Silly,
How do you like those Simon Anderson quad fins?
Also, if you don’t mind, what is the fin placement dims on that one?
Thanks
Jamie
Silly
thats insane!
excellant resin swirl
hot!
thanks guys im happy but a couple of burn throughs on the gloss around the fin boxes DRAT.
Jamie. beside the john bellick quads that i got from probox which are awesome. these simon fins work great as a quad. the trailers are double foiled with only a very slight toe in . maybe 1mm or so. they are also have no cant on the trailers and are about 2 1/2 inches from the rail. fronts have 7 degree i think and are 1/14 from the rail . they are single foiled with about 6 or 7 mm of cant.
distances are around 10. and 5 tho i cant be sure id have to go measure and get back to you. i should keep a notebook aye
Mailbox red bottom tint, yellow deck tint with panels and pins
just quick phone pics.

yeah the customer didnt want me to go mad like your last one.
tried to talk him round. :o)
got a load of real nice tints from a fibreglass company that was stopping making coloured part.
best thing about it they gave me almost all they had for nothing i will be 80 by the time i run out.
i want to use that colour on my new totara board on the rail. its the colour they use on marae’s. on totara carvings. very nice
…hello Kensurf,
here s a tip from the vault of this trade:
for the smokey use polyester Black tint for the color of the cars (go to a car paint store) instead of normal pigments for the resin
because is almost impossible to filter 100% the Black and other colors
so some tiny particles that will not filter can be a problem.

hey Silly looks like a vegetarian tart (pie) vomit, but in a cool way
hi reverb thanks technicolour vomit LOL
just did this one today in my new glassing room, that is about half done…
too way too long, and there’s an inlay for the deck…
royal did you use shoestring or free pour for the checkers?
that would be a lot easier! i just free poured it for this one though…
if you wanted to you could under catylise UV resin and hand paint the glass or under foam… or just catylize as you go on foam. i think a nice hibiscus design could be quickly brushed out onto the glass and do a blue swirl back ground. possibilities are endless really. deffinately handpainting is unexplored
Avi
boards are lookin nice
I guess you got your shaping room all done
