Waist high peelers. That’s not metro (“mid coast”). That’s near Victor Harbor (“south coast”), 30 mins drive from my house (give or take a minute, why do we know the exact route and timing to our surf spots?).
Swell there has a bigger window than the 2-3 days on the mid.
Waves have been small to medium over the last few weeks but waves every single day. Its been really fun and the winds have been perfect day after day after day… Dead glass or offshores… I finally remembered to bring the camera…
Yesterday after my second session I took this pic… I had it alone and in 2 hours I got sooooo many waves. I was toast when I was done… Completely surfed out…
I’ve been surfing mornings at Chuns Reef lately and just having a blast till the crowds show up.
Small perfect peelers every morning for the last few weeks…
I had to down shift my brain from wishing for big swells to just making the most of small waves… From this morning on my 10’-6" Munoz… After my attitude adjustment I’ve been having much more fun… I’m so freaking SPOILED!!! Hahahaha!! Chuns Reef

Its from yesterday at Sandy Beach. I flipped it around so its a right and its now my screen saver. Something like this, a few friends out, our families playing on the beach with the Hibachis firing, 12’ faces breaking over 400 yards long with a sand bottom is my DREAM day! Ahwoooooooo!
