Too true. The info on a computer is only as good as the person who put there.

Here in OZ, Mich, the chinese surfboards thing has fizzled out. People just don't want em ----- no matter how cheap they are. Some known brands have moved to offshore manufacturing, but they keep it a secret as long as they can , and when the word gets out there, sales go through the floor along with their reputation and respect that has taken many years to build.........is it really worth it? Why don't you do the math on the profit margin in can openers......or cheap socket & spanner sets , maybe there's more money in that........
Maybe Kayu , But it is allready been done.
If you want boards made on time and at an affordable price, Email me.

Mitch
account details fixed,
Nice guys,
it seems people have gone back and edited their posts
No worries, I understand that times change and previously writing bad things about a product
you now may or may not be using is a good idea
Mitch
2010 news
I can now cut files from the aps3000 or the AKU shaping machines.
I now have excellent sources for Soft Top boards, Epoxy EPS boards, Skim Boards,
as well as Fins, bags, leashs etc
But I am reluctant to sell accessories to people not buying boards,
Unless its a large quanity (min 1000 with no boards-If you order boards, no min)
PM me or Email me anytime
Mitch.
.
Got any photos Mitch ?

what would you like to see?
I could post a few here

very sad comments you make about the theory of the cheap and making affordable boards for people.
You’re lying to yourself either by greed or ignorance. I hope you come to realise that all you are proposing is cheating the market and your pairs.
Economies of scales and offshore production generate :
-
pollution due to lack of laws in poorer countries
-
exploitation of local labour or conveniently “cheap labour”
-
unemployment in the very countries you’re selling to
-
potentially makes yourself plenty of money if you manage well, killing at the same time more and more small scale local shapers and the diversity of it.
But I’m sure you’ll find some very average arguments to contradict me and give yourself good conscience.
I wish you not good luck in your venture and I hope you come to realise what you want to be part of…
Kind regards
Ron
u know what i don't understand....
whilst i agree with you Ron on most of your points in theory,
but i don't think chinese produced boards are the problem,
but rather the surf shops that ARE SELLING THEM!
THEY, in my opinion are taking the jobs away from local craftsmen,
are contributing to global pollution and the exploitation of cheap labour!
Hell! why are the local shops NOT "ethical" enough to look after the
local surf industries around the world????
i can tell u there's one big fat reason, THEIR GREED!
so is, Mitch the problem?
No, because if he is,
then next time u buy ANYTHING from a store and it says
"made in china" you better not buy it!
Otherwise you will end up the biggest hypocrite of all!
if anything is to change, then it has to happen in our own
back yards and we all need to stop the decay from within!
that's my take anyway!
Yeh, you’re right Surfrat, Surshops are just as responsible as the manufacturers…
Anybody involved in that process really…
Thanks SurfRat
If people didnt want it, It would not be made.
Regardless of origin.
