I have a flying saucer
very rare I know for a surfer
a surfer that is a saucerer
its from America
been lots of reports
now down under where koalas bear
Evereytime I fly
thee ARE reports
Lights seen over LENNOX
Lights seen over Perth
I always wave as I fly (like royalty)
My image doesn't seem to show though
Its quick
warp speed in an instant
programmable or manual (with delAYed response and reduced speed)
startup =m60
fly =f81
destination =name eg.ambrose m curry111 Kamoa rd Kapaa HI
Altitude =f4000(meters)
time to arrive = 8.15pm LT (local time)
Go means go! AND IT GOES. It goes like a dog chases a ball.
I would love to offer my free service to shuttle the board to anywhere on earth.
Or if required to somewhere in outerspace
Planet Zorg is a favourite of mine,
perfect surf and lots of single women chasing surfer guys
Zeptron is also kool, but only big waves of Mercury.
Silver mercury, shines like a tooth filling.
Put on your foil hats,
grab the remote control,
and beam me up,
I'll be there.
Only to happy to help.
cheers malaroo
glad to hear the green tablets are working !
i'll scour the eastern skies for you tonight ,
while humming bowie's 'starman'
i'll be sure to wave !
bring some friends with you , the surf could be good here hear tomorrow ?

Steve tells me the board is: 7"2 by 22'1/4" by 2'1/2".
He could access a set of scales - any estimates of what this would weigh? 11kgs?
Bob
OK, it's taken me a while but I found a post regarding this company, which now I have all the info needed for an online quote: http://www.transdirect.com.au/contact/
I typed in these specifications: 220 cm x 58 x 8 with a weight of 12kg. Sending "other" category 4066 to 2529 was $36.24; sending it to 6019, was $55.20.
This seems extremely cheap so I will ring and confirm. The board was 7'2" x 22.25 x 2.5" so I may have the conversion wrong.
If this is correct, it sounds very feasible to have the board travel south then across to WA & back again, if necessary.
Presuming these charges are correct & Ambrose is ok with this, this sounds possible. I'd need to do a trip to Lennox and pick up the board.
Bob
Hey Bob Green,
Be great if it gets to visit Ben!! When I delivered it to Steve in Lennox, the book was with it. Hope it is still there!
Roger
Hello Roger,
I believe the book is still alive & well. I e-mailed Steve this morning. Once I confirm the prices the boards journey can begin.
Bob
thanks HEAPS Bob ,
for doing all the groundwork and all the running around on this !!
[" $ 55.20" DOES sound VERY reasonable ! is that delivered door to door ? does it come via road ? ]
I hope you are not too far from lennox ??
I'm just so glad to hear that the accompanying book is also alive and well, too ! I'll look forward to adding to THAT , reading the comments , looking at pictures [?] , if any in there [?] ...
this board really seems to have taken on a life and personality of its own , and it will be great to see it in person , and finally get to surf it ?
Maybe Stuey can rip on it one day , at the spot we surfed the other day [while I take water photos ]...
.....also, it's a LONG way away , I know , but ....
"maybe" Simon [my brother ] "may" be here in October , on his way back from ANOTHER two months in Indo , so "maybe" he can surf it / get shots of Stuey and I surfing it here ....????
as is my catch phrase ... " wait and see, eh ? ...WAIT , and SEE ! "
once again , I really APPRECIATE all the effort you have put in , the true 'Swaylocks' spirit will always shine through !
Roger .... thanks !
I hope you can come here , too ?! [ ? maybe IN october ? , at the latest , this year ?? .... because the swell often DIES here , after that !]
cheers guys !

JUst throwing another alternative into the mix…
My dad lives just up the road from Lennox and he’s coming over to visit me in late September. My brother is also coming over to visit at the same time, but he lives in Bunbury. There may be a chance that we could organise some sort of cross-continental board transfer…
FYI - I live in the Adelaide Hills, pretty much half way between the East and West coasts.
Ben,
It's door to door, 6-7 days delivery quoted. It does sound too cheap, but I'll see.
Cass,
Thanks. Via Adelaide is always a possibility.Timing might be tight with a Wollongong detour, but let's see.
Bob
....great stuff ... thanks heaps , Bob !
'proneman' Roger ,
do you have any photos of the rocker / foil , and the fins , and the BOTTOM of the board , please ?
or anyone else taken shots of that , please ?
I don't think I have seen any shots of the fin[s??] yet ?
cheers guys !
ben
Hey Bob, the freight does sound cheap, my concern here would be how they treat it, there may be a premium for surfboards or other fragile items??
If the board makes it to Wollongong or there abouts for a visit I’d be happy to contribute to sending it on if this freight turns out to be a good thing.
Cheers,
Mick.
If the board does end up with mickD I will visit him and get footage of it being surfed. Maybe get a youtube ride report!
Malaroo Flying Saucers Services..... Freak your friends out!
(Yes, we do Alien abductions)
yes please film it being ridden
but maybe not the saucers or abductions mate
cheers
ben
OK,
I'll PM Beerfan for his address, then I'll organise a trip to Lennox. Not exactly sure when, but I'll contact Steve.
One option, is if Cass's dad is ok, is to get it to Wollongong and send it back to me by the time Cass's dad heads west. The other option is just to send it west from Wollongong.
The company tells me insurance is included. I checked about sending it direct from Lennox but it is about double the cost.
Bob
Done bob!
here;s a pic of me with it at the Aussie Fish-Fry 3 or maybe 4 years ago, the other board is my first traveller, called “The AquaBat”, which did the rounds for a while too… I may have posted this one on another thread somewhere but not sure…I never rode the Yellow one…
did I read that right , Mark ...
"3 or 4 years ago" ??!!
my god , I never realised ambrose's board has languished in queensland and new south wales THAT long ?!
no wonder , then , that Ambrose posted
" maybe its time to bring it home ?"
he's the master of understatement
... and patience !
I have waited over a year to see the 'Auslocks' board resurface in perth ...
....but ....
'3 or 4 years' ?!
.....gadzoooks , maaan !!
poor Ambrose ....
he must be really MISSING that board !!
ben
p.s. -
Mark , how far did YOUR travel board go , did it make it out of Queensland or N.S.W ? cheers , mate !
It was Feb. 09 when it arrived.
